Becoming Royal was founded January of 2015 and started as a simple online study forum through our Facebook page (make sure you are following at Becoming Royal). Through a series of experts in different fields such as nutrition, politics, agriculture, ranching, equine trainers, pageant coaches, and more; Becoming Royal is able to provide expert and unique information on all sources needed to help make a well-rounded young woman.
In 2015, Becoming Royal held their first clinic in Corvallis, Oregon, that hosted 7 attendees. Fast forward to 2017, the third ever Becoming Royal clinic had over 53 attendees, one main clinician in 2015 Miss Rodeo America Lauren Heaton, professional cowboy Charlie Barker (PBR, PRCA, NPRA), and numerous other coaches to assist with interviews, modeling and horsemanship skills. Our 2018 clinic will be May 12 & 13, at the Benton County Fair Grounds.
Branching out even further in 2018, we will be co-hosting a clinic in Louisiana with the Louisiana Rodeo Queens group to bring our southern women an opportunity to attend one of our clinics and receive our workbooks.
In 2018 we will be hosting Teen State Rodeo Queen Host Week for the first time ever! An amazing opportunity to connect teen state rodeo queens from around the country, we are excited to work with Sandy Steinruck who originally ran the host week in Florida, and the Miss Rodeo Kentucky Pageant, Inc., for being our host. Host week will include a variety of fun activities including a Kentucky rodeo and a one day leadership academy clinic.
